Rag Quilt

Rag quilts are quilts that have 3 layers with exposed and clipped seam allowances on the front and finished traditional seams of the back.  They can be made with 100% quilting cotton, flannel or homespuns.  A quilt-as-you-go technique makes this a great quilt for beginners or a quick weekend project for the experienced quilter. On this type of quilt, all the quilting is done on the individual squares and then it is assembled together. The supply list will make an approx. 60"x70" throw size quilt.

You may purchase a card for Open Studio time and use the Accuquilt cutter to cut your flannel into either 10" squares or 8.5" with the fringes already cut for you.  Ask Rori what the difference in the squares are.

Come to class with all fabrics pre-cut and ready to start sewing.

In the supply list, there are yardage requirements for a baby size quilt.
